Ka Huna (Hawaiian) Massage (1hr)

Also referred to as “Lomi Lomi” this style of massage originates from the South Pacific. It is a holistic massage, designed to balance the physical and emotional aspects of an individual. Ka Huna Massage is conducted using hands, forearms and elbows in flowing, Tai Chi style movements. Light and firm pressure is used during the massage as required and hot stones are used during massage of the back.

Ancient Healing Hot Stone Therapy Massage (1.5hr)

This ritualistic treatment involves a massage with the accompaniment of hot stones. Stones used in the treatment are primarily basalt and are at a comfortable body temperature during the massage. Due to the weight, pressure and heat of the stones during a massage treatment, its benefits include muscle relaxation and an increase in lymphatic movement, aiding detoxification. Treatment also involves a foot scrub.

Pregnancy Massage (1hr)

There are benefits of receiving massage whilst you are expecting! The massage is carried out with the client lying side-lined for the bulk of the treatment, with support to the belly, head and legs. Pregnancy Massage can have a variety of benefits including reduction in fluid retention, relaxation and alleviation of neck and back pain due to adopted posture, muscle weakness and imbalance.

Lymphatic Drainage (1.5hr)

Lymphatic Drainage includes light and soft strokes without the use of oil or cream. Pumping, wavelike movements are used to boost movement of the lymphatic fluid through the body. Lymphatic Drainage can be used as a tool during detoxification & for fluid retention. Lymphatic Drainage may also be of assistance in the management of lymphoedema & during & after cancer treatment (with a doctor’s clearance). The boost in the movement of lymphatic fluid can also quicken the healing time for injuries and reduce pain & swelling after oral surgery.
